Open Minds is an eight week programme for survivors of acquired brain injury (ABI) delivered by our specially trained rehabilitation staff. This group meets on Fridays at the Centre in Dumfries and is based on the BrainTree model. Open Minds aims to help ABI survivors develop a better understanding of the nature of their brain injury and to develop coping strategies.

As well as being informative, Open Minds offers a safe and confidential environment in which to share experiences with people in similar situations.

Referrals come through relevant professionals such as Compass Services, Acute Services, Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI), Rehabilitation Services, GP/Practice Nurse, and Social Services.

If you would like to receive support or advice from us or are aware of anyone we could help in both the short and longer term, please contact us here.
