The Compass Rehabilitation Centre is open Monday to Friday. This service is commissioned by statutory bodies to provide 56 client places each week from Monday to Thursday with an additional 4 private client placements available Monday to Thursday. This service is managed by David Sawden.  In addition to David and his team, Compass provides student placements for Allied Health Professionals such as Occupational Therapy and recently completed an Occupational Therapy Pilot research program with partner organisation A Chance For Life (Penrith).  

On Fridays, the Rehab’ Centre is available for Private/Self Directed Support clients. The Rehabilitation Centre offers slow-stream cognitive rehabilitation therapy, using interventions such as Braintree, cognitive activities, and validated outcome measurement tools.

Morning sessions are typically based around working towards achieving cognitive goals and our afternoon sessions focus on individual client goals such as IT skills, daily-living skills, craft/woodworking skills etc. The Rehabilitation Centre has on its premises a well-equipped gym, IT suite and woodwork Shop, ‘Quiet Rooms’ and mature gardens. All referrals to the Rehabilitation Centre are
via the Local Authority's social work team, an NHS clinician/GP or via the Compass Assessment Team.
